East Hants Dachshund’s (EHD) was set up by Larissa Carey and Louise Pope in February 2018. We wanted to create a group where new and old dachshund owners could come together to meet for walks, chat online openly and have a little rant every now about the naughty sausages!!
Connecting Dachshunds across Hampshire!
What do we do?
EHD regularly hold monthly group walks across East Hampshire as well as organise swim dates, birthday parties, play dates, meet ups at other dog events and charity fund raising events. We are a non profit group and we always try to support local business, as well as charities that are close to our hearts. Such as (Dachshund Health UK) IVDD and The Red Foundation as well as non Daxie charities like Hounds for Heroes. So far we have raised over £2500 for charity!
How can you get involved?
We are always looking for local businesses to support us with donations, Prizes for raffles, even just putting a poster up for us is a great help in spreading the word. The breed is becoming very popular so having this group means we can help each other with tips, tricks and training as well as rehoming or supporting those who need help. It’s a great group and we have all made so many good friends just through the mutual love of dogs!
Check us out on facebook for regular updates!
We have a busy diary not only with our monthly walks but we will get together at other organised events so we can car share and meet up even storm some dog shows with an armada of dachshunds. There are also classic walks like the bluebell walk, beach walks in the summer as well as our popular Howl-O-Weiner walk and Christmas PAWty which keep getting bigger and bigger every year!
